Reflections on teaching Ash Demystified at Goatmire

In September I had the honour of facilitating the Ash Demystified workshop at Goatmire conference in Varberg, Sweden, alongside my Alembic colleague Barnabas Jovanovics, an Ash core team member and one of the most thoughtful engineers I've had the pleasure of working with.
Our aim was to showcase the incredible strength, flexibility and expressiveness of Ash, and to show people how much Ash generates for you once you start modelling your domain declaratively.
I've been writing Ash professionally for a year at this point, and I feel resoundingly that I couldn't be in a more interesting niche in the industry. It's a secret weapon which I think needs to be in everyone's hands. The shift from imperative to declarative code is such a powerful change, especially in the age of agents!
In composing the training materials I was reminded just how vast the surface area of the framework and its surrounding community packages is. There's so much there, and sessions like Ash Demystified are a great way to help people find their footing.

I think sessions like the one at Goatmire are where I can personally have the biggest impact for the booming Ash/Elixir community. I hope that my excitement for the power Ash gives you was infectious, and that all attendees left feeling keen to dig in further.
Thanks to everyone who attended and made it such a fun learning experience!
